The weekend starts here! On this page you can see my predictions for the second semi-final. This show will be aired on Thursday the 12th at 8pm on BBC4. This is a much competitive line-up on paper than Tuesday's effort and indeed is looking like the most open Eurosong evening in many a year. The first thing to say is that all this was divined with a wonky stick before the rehearsals began at the beginning of May. As a result it is simply based on the submitted song and promo video, and I therefore reserve the right to go back on these predictions without any admission of guilt or acceptance of reproach.
The Northern Premier League-level of competitiveness is clearly illustrated at the top with the head wobbling Serbians coming out on top. I'm less than convinced by this as time passes, but I have to hold by it. Oh the woe of Ukraine is a solid bet, but then I've somehow managed to get the bread man himself, Hovi, coming in third. More likely is the stand out Bulgars & the less cracking Poles that follow. A gap follows to another longshot Albania & the desperate Norway. I have the tipped Australia to scrape through (majority of opinion has it top 3), Georgia are down as the long shot qualifier, and the metaphorical jury vote disapppointingly goes to Denmark. The only surprise non-qualifier is Latvia, which I detest, however is unfathomably universally liked by damp fan. In the final shake-up my early predictions landed 7 (I got a healthy 9 on th night tho'). Belgium, Latvia, & Donny prevailed against better judgement.

I've also had a pop at the other semi final here and the final already, so confident am I at the predictions below...

1. Serbia 2. Ukraine 3. Israel
4. Bulgaria 5. Poland 6. Albania
7. Norway
8. Australia 9. Georgia
10. Denmark 11. Lithuania 12. Belgium
13. Latvia
14. Belarus 15. FYROM
16. Ireland Romania  17. Slovenia
