On this page you can see my predictions for the first semi-final 2012 which were made in late April. Inevitably the combination of national dress and mild dementia bring the Great Russian Bear tm the win. The busker comes in second and more controversially the horn third, with the Izabo show showing well too. Looking at the list, I could well have got this badly wrong. As you would expect the general standard is uniformly low, and a case could be made for the majority from this semi qualifying, but I honestly cannot make a case for 15th through to 18th...they are the pits...Sadomasochists will get a major kick out of San Marino in particular this year, three minutes of aural hell.

Are you desperate for entertainment during a midweek evening in May? Are you the type that flicks through the channels like Sumo TV and SyFy? The UK aren't even voting in this one, but that shouldn't stop you from tuning in, snd cheering on Mr Amadeus. Go on, it'll break the week up.
