On this page you can see my predictions for the final 2015
(drum roll, very exciting), so if you find yourself somewhat erroneously
trusting my judgment then you can blindly wager your hard earned cash
on these tips.
Due to the dearth of quality this year, allied with a
confusing betting market in the build up to the contest, there could be
an act that slips through from the field into an each-way finish. Under
normal circumstances by May the markets have sorted themselves out after
the bookies have explored the crevasses of key Eurosong fans for their
take on matters, but if last year told us anything (well, apart from Finland
& Israel expressing a surprising liking for bearded ladies) it's that
an act can appear from the pack at rehearsal stage.
I am now struggling to see past a Sweden victory though,
which takes away quite a lot of the fun in the process. So to silver place
then and the smart money is on Italy, Estonia, first timers Australia,
and even Finland...But why be smart when you can be different. Slovenia
is the quality song of the year, and I remain confident in the ability
of the European public to recognise a good tune when they see one (naive
I know). So Maraaya it is. I also remain intested in Azerbaijan at 28/1
(which is the best Eastern song on show..forget Albania..), and the UK
is the pits and should be treated as such.
As ever the predictions below are based on an assumption
of certain qualifiers from the two semi finals, details of which you can
see here and here.
