The weekend starts here! On this page you can see my predictions for the second semi-final. This show will be aired on Thursday the 21st at 8pm. This is a stronger line-up on paper than Tuesday's effort, with the second half of show in particular causing some vote spreading headaches. The prediction machine spat out a few surprises further down the field which I'm worried about.
The top places are more easy to predict I feel, with Sweden likely winners, followed by strong efforts from Slovenia, Norway, and Azerbaijan. I have weirdy Latvia to score well, but then the question marks start popping up. The cheese from Tel Aviv scores higher than is likely, and the Polish wheelchair seems to have gobbled up more (sympathy?) votes than you would normally expect. The bespectacled Cypriot you can take home to your mum should do well enough. I hope Switzerland progress though I appreciate this may be unlikely, so 9th is the manic Christian wife swop party, and the top ten is rounded out by a botox'd Star Trek baddie.

After last year's prediction shambles and the knock to my confidence that ensued I am doubtful over 5-10, but I'm willing to gamble it will be a kick in the shins for little Maria and that the Eurosong minnows (Czech Rep/San Marino) & outposts (Malta/Portugal) will continue to struggle.
