Vlad Mirita was born in 1981 in Targoviste, Rumania,
where he began his singing education at the Art School when he was 16
years old. During his education he attended to the "Armonia Valaha
Choir" and sang at national and international festivals and events.
2001 he took private lessons in singing with Maestro Corneliu Fanateanu
in Bucharest and became a member of the famous East-European Chamber Choir
"Madrigal".
Vlad Mirita won several prices at national and international
singing contests and music festivals, such as the 1 st price at the National
Pop Festival "Mamaia" in 2002, the 2 nd price at the international
festival "Songs of the World 2005" or the 2 nd price at the
international tenor voices festival "Traian Grozavescu" in Lugoj.
Since 2006 he is soloist at the National Opera Bucharest and he sang in
operas of Puccini, Verdi and Bizet. He sang the roles of Ismael in "Nabucco",
Edmondo in "Manon Lescaut" and the title roles in "Aida"
and "Il Trovatore".
In 2007 Vlad Mirita visited the Master classes of Leontina
Vaduva and Ionel Pantea and he participated in several concerts in Rumania.
In the coming season he will not only be heard on stage but also on some
Music albums (like Proms of Delight - Christmas Edition).
Nico (Nicoleta Matei) was born on 1st of February 1970
in Ploesti, Romania. She graduated from the High school for professional
singers in 1990. Now she is working as a singer at the "Toma Garagiu"
Musical Theatre in Ploesti. Her career has been extremely successful since
1998. In 2001 she signed a contract with a very famous music show in Japan.
Through the years she has worked with all the leading radio and TV stations
in Romania. Nico has won many awards at the most outstanding music contests
all over the country. She won first prize award for best female singer
in the "Theatre Festival Contest" in Constanta in 1996, 1997,
1998 and 1999. In 1996 she was second in the most significant pop contest
in Romania "Mamaia".
In Brashov, Romania Nico won second prize at the "Golden
Stag International Song Festival in 2003. In 2004 she wins "The Trophy"
at Discovery festival in Bulgaria. Same year she wins Grand-Prix at prestigeous
festival "Voice of Asia" in Almaty, Kazakhstan and again finishes
2nd in "Mamaia". In 2005 she wins special jury prize at "Astana"
contest in Kazakhstan.
