As a child, 34 year-old Sanda sang in various choirs and groups, but began studying music when she was around 10-years-old learning Piano, classical Guitar and singing.
But having been born into a family of teachers, it seemed natural Sandi would also go into education. Sanda gave up her teaching career almost as soon as she graduated from the Targu Mures Teaching High School after winning Romania’s Mamaia Pop Festival.
Moving to Bucharest to follow her dream of becoming a professional singer, she also studied Law at the city’s Titu Maiorescu University.Sanda has never let her fans down. Whether singing alone or duetting with Romanian stars like Marcel Pavel, Stefan Iordache, Ioan Gyuri – Pascu or Aurelian Temisan, Sanda always enchants her audience with her voice. She has performed at numerous concerts across Romania and at numerous summer festivals abroad.
When she has time, Sanda loves catching up with friends over a coffee, watching the latest movie or listening to music. She also loves dogs and has four herself: ‘Cindy’ and ‘Zanga’ –- both Bichons –- a German Shepherd called Frantz and a stray dog called Dixie.

She also loves horses and has been a keen rider since her teens. However, a serious knee accident in 1994 forced her leg into plaster for a month. She should have rested it, but ever stubborn, Sanda kept on performing.
Romanians are not renowned for their patience, and Sanda is no exception. However, she says: “I’m sure that in time they will learn to be patient. I strongly believe in God and I know that every human being is in his care.”When she has the time, Sanda enjoys escaping from Bucharest to the mountains.

Sanda collects ‘snow-scenes’ from all the places in the world she visits. Now, besides wishing to do well in the Eurovision final in Isatanbul, Sanda says she will also add a snow-scene from Turkey to her collection and can’t wait to get back to Istanbul.“Mostly I enjoyed shopping when I went to Istanbul. The sellers pick you up in the street; offer you juice and tea in order to make you buy from them. They really know how to do their job,” she remembers.

The Singers
A cross between Ivana Trump and Jade Goody, who leans towards the posh spice gurning and posing technique of gaining admirers.
I am often mildly chastened by the remarkable academic achievements supplied by the press offices of ESC singers. If ever you wouldn't expect a singer to be clever (that is, apart from James Fox & Chris Doran) Sanda is she. But lo and behold, she had a teaching career, studied law, plays a couple of instruments, swam in national competitions, and collects snow scenes. But the question is, does she have a crap website? Err, yes she does actually.

The Past
To me Romania are that the unruly boy at the back of the class in high school. The one that is clever, but refuses to listen and instead disrupts the class, throwing bits of paper and being immaturely suggestive to the young female French teacher. As a result he gets report cards which say "young Roman is clearly a bright child and could have potential, but will not succeed until he starts to pay attention in class". "Until he sorts this, he will occasionally produce mildly interesting songs that scrape a top ten place, but will more likely stagnate with the likes of Sanda Ladosi".

The Song

"Shake" came a remarkably disappointing 11th in their pre-selection (pictured). They wouldn't have got relegated. This will. "I Admit" is a damp squib Euro-pop song, with an almost apologetic ethno-flavour.

The Istanbul sellers will not pick this song up in the street.

Overall

The promo video for this song is the cheapest I've ever seen, which deserves an award for that achievement in itself. Sometimes I think that US and British soldiers don't need to urinate on their captors to force confessions. An hour of songs such as this on loop would do the trick, and wouldn't strictly be contravening the terms of the Geneva Convention.

In a Nutshell
"I'll Admit to anything listening to this"

I Admit

As in a dream, love appeared
Swept me away, make me lose control
Like never before

As in a dream, life touched me
I don't know how I touched the bottom
Of my very soul

Now I know I find the key to my heart
I just hope this isn't a dream
And that you are reality

I admit I fell for you so badly
And I admit you make my senses wild
I know sometimes that I am looking foolish
I admit, I admit
I'll be a fool as long as you are mine
Mine, just mine, just mine

It's great to be in love
It makes me touch the sky
A thousand times or more

It's good to admit
That my heart starts to race
When you walk through that door

Now I know you are the key to my heart
I just hope this isn't a dream
And that you'll be my everything

I admit I fell for you so badly
And I admit you make my senses wild
I know sometimes that I am looking foolish
I admit, I admit
I'll be a fool as long as you are mine
Mine, just mine, just mine

I admit I fell for you so badly
And I feel so good
And I admit you make my senses wild
I know sometimes that I am acting foolish
I admit, I admit
I'll be a fool as long as you are mine
Mine, just mine, just mine

Just mine...
You make me shine
You are the light in my life

I admit I fell for you so badly
And I feel so good
And I admit you make my senses wild
I know sometimes that I am acting foolish
I admit, I admit
I'll be a fool as long as you are mine
Mine, just mine, just mine

I admit I fell for you so badly
And I feel so good
And I admit you make my senses wild
I know sometimes that I am acting foolish
I admit, I admit
I'll be a fool as long as you are mine
Mine, just mine, just mine
Just mine...
