Linas Adomaitis was born on 10 April 1976, into a family with strong musical background. Father, who was a violinist was his first music teacher, and later directed Linas to J.Naujalis music school. After having successfully finished it, Linas further studied violin speciality in the Lithuanian Music Academy (LMA).

Being a first year student, in 1996 Linas formed R&B-POP group L+, which produced 4 albums, 2 singles. In the 1997 BRAVO awards group L+ was acknowledged as the best beginner of the year.

In 2000 the group broke up and Linas began his solo career. In the same year, having obtained an honours Bachelor’s degree in Violin Studies, Linas entered LMA faculty of Cinema and Theatre to study Sound Producing. In 2002 Linas finished his Masters course in Sound Producing. Gaining a Masters degree increased the scope of the musical activities in which he is now involved.
Since when he was 17, Linas worked in different sound recording studios, creating, arranging and producing music for himself and for other performers (he wrote approximately 90 songs).

In May – September 2001 Linas worked in a radio station “Labas FM”, where he was a presenter and creator of the SOUL and R&B radio program “KAIFAS” – here pseudonym ADOMS, which prevails in the musical activity of the performer was born.
In October 2001 the first solo album of ADOMS was produced.

Now Linas is recording albums for a group called “UAB MUSIC” and his new solo album. As well as planning to open his own recording studio this year, Linas is also promoting the new albums by performing at the different venues with singers Simona Jakubënaite and Egle Þvirblyte.

The Singers

Linas (not unlike Peanuts) looks like a boy in a proper man’s suit. He's a bit like a mini-Elton John with fashionable Specsavers square glasses, and so Linas does not make for an imposing figure. How many times have I bemoaned the Dion factor in Eurovision. Time and time again, various countries have come up with foul vocal impressions of a gigantically foul original. But for the first time I can say that we have a singer who actually looks like Dion. For Simona at 7foot 2 in her red flats, could be a giant stand-in for the evil one.

The Past

In their three past attempts, Skamp were superb, Aivaras was woeful but likeable for all the same, and Aiste was a bit dull. That's Lithuania, a nation who now have no excuse come voting time, bordered as she is by Belarus, Latvia, Poland, and Russia. And don't forget near neighbours, Ukraine, Finland, and Estonia. Their time to do something decent must be soon.

The Song

So picture a situation where you have Dion dwarfing little Linas, whilst four monks in the background strip off their cassocks halfway the song through to reveal clown costumes. What a picture.
Get clapping. Not for the song, but with the song. Yes, fast hand clapping is the order of the day in Vilnius. At least it sounds like clapping...I suppose it could be popping loads of bubble-wrap, or a fart bubble in the bath (a more apt description). Only the surreal factor may save this one.

Overall

I'd like to point out here that Lithuania could have won the Eurovision this year. But unfortunately the people failed to chose Amberlife with "In your eyes". It wasn't a life changing song, but it would have walked it.
But instead they went for another interesting reflection of musical tastes in the Baltic. Likely to appeal to your slightly deranged cousin from the countryside, but will not win. My analytical prediction of bottom may be a bit harsh though.

In a Nutshell
"So much effort for so little reward"

What's Happened To Your Love?

What's happened to your love
What's happened to my love
We've been together for so long
But now the feeling's gone

What's happened to your love
What's happened to my love
We've been together for so long
But now the feeling's gone
But now the feeling's gone

Could you give me one more try
I will never make you cry
Yes, I've made mistakes before
Give your hand, let's go for more

Oh, baby you came back again
Your eyes are shining like a flame
I thought that I'd forgot your touch
But now I love you so much

What's happened to your love
What's happened to my love
We've been together for so long
But now the feeling's gone

What's happened to your love
What's happened to my love
We've been together for so long
But now the feeling's gone
But now the feeling's gone

I do remember your first words
And silence's breaking down my heart
I want to dream about sky blue
If I can, darling, stay with you

Let's walk, we did it for the first time
Along the wavy sea shoreline
Please smile, you always did to me, just to me
Oh baby, tell what do you feel

What's happened to your love
What's happened to my love
We've been together for so long
But now the feeling's gone

What's happened to your love
What's happened to my love
We've been together for so long
But now the feeling's gone
But now the feeling's gone
