Ivan "Jesus Christ Superstar" Mikulic was born on 8 May 1968 in Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina.

A talented tenor with a rare two and half octave vocal range, Ivan studied in the town of Široki Brijeg and was a solo singer in his school choir.

He has played in several bands, including in group, "Zvjezdane staze." The group was his primary school band who were the local teenage attraction at the time.

In 1995 Ivan took part in the Croatian national Eurovision prelim contest, “Dora,” for the first time. The song he sang, "Ti i ja," was the start of his professional singing career and he later went on to perform at numerous festivals.

Ivan has released three albums so far: "Zaljubljen i lud" in 1996, "Kai joj suzo" in 1999 and "Ti si ona prava" in 2002. He has also starred as Jesus in rock musical, “Jesus Christ Superstar” and has won several awards for his work. Ivan is married and has an 18-month-old son, Ante

The Singer
 
No, it's not the highly successful Wycombe manager, Tony Adams, its Ivan Mikulic.
He has a two and a half octave range, and a young son called Ante. His Auntie Ann is apparently not anti Ante.
Seems distinctly average as always. Not a bad singer when all said and done...

The Past
  
On average, Croatia are distinctly average. They've never been in the top three, and indeed never been relegated. Goran & Toni are the only two blokes ever to represent Croatia, and indeed red blooded heterosexual male fans of the contest (who are extremely few and far between) can normally expect a good show from Croatia. The continuous display of loverley ladiesss at the Eurovision has, I reckon, gone a long way to developing their tourist industry in recent years. Although I have no scientific proof to back that assertion up.

The Song
 
...my, but the song is dull...the easy listening of the contest (if anything Eurosong can be categorised as easy listening). It's virtually impossible to hold a strong opinion on this one. The type of song that gets Chris De Burgh salivating, and everyone else snoring & retching in turns.
