	What do I think of this?
	Harel Skaat has a promotional juggernaut behind him this year. Barely a day went by in April without an unwanted email popping up in my inbox inviting me to Hebrew karaoke to his effort in 2010, a song that translates as "Words". I think the juggernaut has worked, as the song has been looked upon kindly by the damp journo throng, which has resulted in a postion of third favourite. I however, am as dry as a bone, and I just don't see what the fuss is about. On stage it looks like he has the complexion of Jude Law in "AI", and smiles throughout a song which talks about blood scorching his throat. Hardly suitable behaviour. It's another ballard which goes a negligible distance, but he sings well enough and it should get a top ten finish. Hebrew sung still sounds like razorblades down a chalkboard though, even if a foreign language does appear to be the exception rather than the norm these days.

		Biography Harel Skaat was only 5 years old when his kindergarten teacher noticed that he has unique vocal abilities. He participated in his first contest at the age of six and won first place. At the age of 15, Harel was the lead singer in the official pop group for his home town of Kfar Saba, as well as the official high school band. At the ge 21, after finishing his compulsory military service as a lead singer in the IDF Communications Corps Band, Harel decided to develop his performing and singing skills at "Beit Zvi", the Academy for the Performing Arts. Harel was in the second year of his studies when he joined the second season of "A Star is Born", the Israeli adaptation of American Idol. He was immediately loved by the crowd as a candidate for winning, and received the highest number of votes during all the show's stages. coming in second. Harel's performance video finale topped the official Israeli Music Channel charts for 80 days, a record. His self titled debut album, "Harel Skaat" released in 2006, the album achieved gold status after 3 weeks and eventually reached platinum. Harel Skaat launched his second album, "Figures" and achieved gold status. Harel's extraordinary vocal talent and charming charisma have given him the great privilege and opportunity to participate in many shows, large scale events and national services, and now as the Israeli representative in Eurovision 2010.
