What do I think of this?

I'm not one to follow popular culture ad nauseaum (I am after all cobbling together a Eurovision Song Contest site), however I'm long enough in the tooth now to spot that a lot of music seems to be degenerating into the dark old days of the 1980's, namely new romantic navel gazing lank haired shite (blimey I've turned into my dad!).
And so here we have a band named Malcolm Lincoln, which as far as I can tell is the only amusing part of the act. Estonia is a land that likes to sing, but often comes across as though it's only just learnt how to. Fretless Rambu (yes) will be helping out on piano on stage, which fails to inspire much further confidence in me.
Long cold lonely winters in Estonia. With only 5 months of annual sunshine since music was invented, they've now caught up to 1982. Sporting a sound like Tears for Fears, Malcolm Lincoln induces more crying in me than the Big O stubbing his toe on Boy George's ankle tag. It's in the stinker semi final which will get "Siren" into the final, but I predict a lonely snowbound trudge of shame after that. Oh Lame. The Eighties are coming back.

Biography

Malcolm Lincoln is the 2010 comet in the Estonian music skies! The artist whose name was until now only known in the alternative music scene, surprised the public by winning the Estonian national selection show Eesti Laul 2010. Robin Juhkental, the leader and founder of the band, had written the track Siren several years ago, but decided to present it to wider audiences only now, when the Estonian round of the Eurovision Song Contest underwent a great change last year when more less-known artists were invited by the broadcaster to join the contest.
Critics have said that Malcolm Lincoln is a charming band, whose music combines modern electronics and classical big pop and who do not shy away from any moves to win the listeners' heart: big choruses, sentiment, an image containing both gay and macho elements, a deadly show and a perfect performance. Nevertheless, it is not a cheap band - they simply play their own game.
Malcolm Lincoln was formed in 2009. The band's other member Madis Kubu aka Fretless Rämbu provides special live support and joins Robin for live shows.
The band's name is inspired from the TV game "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?", where a player was once convinced that the first name of the US President Lincoln was Malcolm and not Abraham. Malcolm Lincoln's back vocals on the Eurovision stage will be provided by Manpower 4, a quartet formed especially for the event

Siren

Siren in my head, is making awful sound
It's time to make it clear
What is lost and what is found?

My life has been oh lame
Has been oh lame so far
I wasted years, I wasted time
Trying to reach the stars
My life has been oh lame
Has been oh lame so far

Give me time and give me strength
Give me strenght to carry on
Give me bit of hope now, help me through the night
Give me time and give me strength
Give me strenght to carry on
Give me bit of hope now, help me through the night

Siren in my head, yes, I can hear it again
Is it just the beginning, or is it the end?

My life has been oh lame
Has been oh lame so far
I wasted years, I wasted time
Trying to reach the stars
My life has been oh lame
Has been oh lame so far

Give me time and give me strength
Give me strenght to carry on
Give me bit of hope now, help me through the night
Give me time and give me strength
Give me strenght to carry on
Give me bit of hope now, help me through the night

Give me time and give me strength
Give me strenght to carry on
Give me bit of hope now, help me through the night
Give me time and give me strenght
Give me strenght to carry on
Give me bit of hope now, help me through the night

Is it Malcolm Lincoln who is trying to be crazey
Or is it the Shaun Ryder balancing challenge on Banzai, which was 100% bonkers
