What do I think of this?

Back in 1998, a relatively unknown artist walked out onto the Eurovision stage in Birmingham and sang The One That I Love, with a strong and determined personality that reached into people's hearts. An artist was born - 'Chiara'.
Chiara had become a star and between 1998 and 2003 she released three albums in Malta and won the Best Female Artist in 1998 at the Malta Music Awards. In 2000 and 2001 Chiara performed in concert with Leo Sayer and Boney M respectively.

In 2005 she returned to the Maltese finals with Angel written by herself and won. More determined than ever, Chiara was one of the favourites to win the trophy. She sang her heart out and was placed a memorable second.

After the great result in the 2005 ESC Chiara has been working a lot around the Island and abroad, especially in Greece and Cyprus. The most important change in Chiara's life however was of course the birth of her daughter Ebony.
2009 marked once again the return of Chiara to the Malta Eurosong finals with What If We written by Gregory Bilsen and Marc Paelinck. Backed by the Maltese people she will once again step out onto the Eurovision stage, to represent Malta in Moscow.

What if we?

Words of wisdom, prophets and quotes
Wise men talking, tales from the old
I reach for the stars, wherever they are, in darkness
We're lost, fading away

What if we could be free?
Mystify our wisdom in time
And one day we'll see
What if we found the key?
Throw the dice, unravel our lies
And learn how to be

All the madness feeding our soul
Take a wild guess out of control
There will be a star, no matter how far, shining
One day we'll sail away

What if we could be free?
Mystify our wisdom in time
And one day we'll see
What if we found the key?
Throw the dice, unravel our lies
And learn how to be

If you don't know your destination
Who determines your destiny?

What if we could be free?
Mystify our wisdom in time
And one day we'll see
What if we found the key?
Throw the dice, unravel our lies
And learn how to be
