"Drawing on profound European musical traditions, Cosmos enthusiastically put their academic music background to work as they explore the almost unlimited possibilities of the human voice - nature's most incredible musical instrument".

Music & Lyrics by:
Molly-Ann Leikin & Guntars Raes

"Having already been acknowledged as the best young Latvian group in the first year of its existence, vocal group Cosmos' first album received an award as best pop album of the year 2003 and achieved platinum status in sales. Their distinctive a cappella performance without instruments, a vocal style previously unfamiliar in Latvia, gave these six young musicians the chance to skyrocket into the forefront of Latvian popular and academic music scenes."

"Drawing on a professional musical education and with a very broad range of voices, Cosmos give full expression to their talents across a broad range of musical styles and genres from medieval chant to modern jazz and pop music. In the three years since their formation, Cosmos has already released four albums.
To underpin the continuing development of their musical education, Cosmos devote much time to workshops with world-leading a cappella music professionals such as The Hilliard Ensemble, Take 6, The Real Group, The New York Voices, The Flying Pickets and M-Pact."

Every performance by Cosmos attracts a full house not only in Latvia but in other Baltic States, Russia and Ukraine and, as a fresh and vibrant musical project Cosmos is regularly invited to represent Latvia and accompany the President of the Republic of Latvia Vaira-Vike Freibrega at a range of international events. The Mayor of Washington D.C. Anthony A. Williams admitted that after listening to Cosmos he was amazed by the unlimited possibilities of the human voice – nature’s most incredible musical instrument.

First of all, the lead whiner is a dead spit cross betwenn Herman Munster and Cousin It. Quite an incredible visage. In fact the other five aren't that normal either, and in tandem with their trademark acapella sideways head bob, what we have ladies and gentlemen is a truly unnerving experience. None other than Bobby McFerrin (just about the only other bleeper in music) has jammed with these people, and what a sight that must have been. This is awful, and will no doubt finish very high up on the leaderboard.

"There aren't enough stars in Cosmos"

Bert & Ernie

Juris reminisced..."Bert is the taller, more irritable one and Ernie is the round-faced, goofy one. They have different hobbies. Bert collects paperclips, bottlecaps, loves pigeons. Ernie loves his rubber ducky. Ernie annoys Bert with his neverending questions especially when Bert is trying to sleep". "Janis and Janis have that type of relationship inn our band...the other Janis gets very jealous".

Is he Cillian Murphy, who has made a small fortune from having a peculiar voice
or Reinis Sejans who has a peculiar voice.

I Hear Your Heart

In a world that is beeping and blaring
Growing louder every day
I cover my ears
But none of the noise will go away
Sirens, barking dogs
Thank God for the one and only sound
That turns around and makes it right

I hear your heart
Whisper to me
No matter where I may happen to be, yeah
Sending me love and shining it through
I hear your heart
Can you hear mine too?

I hear your heart
Whisper to me
No matter where I may happen to be, yeah
Sending me love and shining it through
I hear your heart
Can you hear mine too?

Oh, as sensitive people we're trampled
Almost everywhere we go
There are days when we'll die
If one more stranger tells us no
So I hope your shadows melt away
As you say they've done before
Just like the one and only sound
That turns around for me once more

I hear your heart
Whisper to me
No matter where I may happen to be
Sending me love and shining it through
I hear your heart
Can you hear mine too?

Can you hear mine too?

I hear your heart
Whisper to me
No matter where I may happen to be
Sending me love and shining it through
I hear your heart
Can you hear mine too?

I hear your heart
Mine too?
I hear your heart

A violin on a summer night
On a full moon mountain top
Couldn't sound as sweet as you do
Don't stop, don't stop

I hear your heart
Whisper to me
No matter where I may happen to be
Sending me love and shining it through
I hear your heart
Can you hear mine too?

I hear your heart
Whisper to me
No matter where I may happen to be
Sending me love and shining it through
I hear your heart
Can you hear mine too?

“Our parents get very nervous when we perform, especially in Eurovision,” they said. “But they give us a lot of support and love. It wasn’t so easy when we were little children, having to practice the violin or piano when all our friends were playing football. But it was worth it and our parents are very happy for us.”
