"This year he also participated in a project performing in Italy with Robbie Facchinetti of the world famous group "I Pooh".

Music & Lyrics by: Ralph Siegel and Bernd Meinunger

The Swiss organisers' aim was to find singers with the winning combination of voice and personality. Rather than setting out to create a boy- or girl-band band, they were looking for six soloists - six strong voices - to represent Switzerland in Athens.

Israel is home to shooting star Liel. At just 16, Liel has already shared a stage with greats such as Elton John, Bono and the Scorpions. In the past two years alone, she has given more than 100 concerts around the world, and is already being celebrated in the USA and Germany as the new Céline Dion. Liel uses her music as a way of campaigning for world peace.

Andreas Lundstedt, from Sweden, is a member of the world-famous band Alcazar. The band had the whole of Europe humming in 2002 with only its second single, "Crying at the Discotheque".

Tinka is from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Born in Sarajevo, at 17 she moved on her own to the USA, where she studied singing at Louisiana College. In 2005, Tinka came second in Bosnia and Herzegovina's national Eurovision Song Contest heats. For two years, TINKA has had her own radio talk show on Bosnia and Herzegovina's biggest radio station. In addition to that she is in her 4th season as host of the highest ranked TV show in the country, the "TV Bingo Show".

Another well-known singer comes from Malta: Keith Camilleri. He is popular with all the Maltese for his passionate voice. Keith travels around the world to pursue his dream of becoming an internationally famous artist. This year he also participated in a project performing in Italy with Robbie Facchinetti of the world famous group "I Pooh".

Marco Matias' roots are in Portugal. Although his parents emigrated to Germany, he returns regularly to his homeland. In 2003 he took part in the open casting session to find the voice of Germany. Out of 12,000 entrants, Marco was placed second.

Last but not least, the group includes Claudia D'Addio of Switzerland. Claudia has been known as "The Voice" since her appearance on the MusicStar casting show. Along with the other "MusicStars", she has already celebrated two number-one hits.

six4one - six strong voices, six strong personalities, coming together with a single common goal: Success for Switzerland in Athens.

Never one to put much store by the international community, Switzerland have once more put two fingers up to fair play, and employed Ralph "doing Eurovision since the days of the Weimar Republic" Seigel to choose six different Eurosong nationalities to plead for peace. Blatant doesn't do this justice (justice in Switzerland..ha). It would be appropriate if I was neutral over this one, but I'm not, cos I hate it. Even though all corners of Europe are covered, there's still no quality on show. The video says it all: the Swiss singer is a lump of a woman but still finds it in her heart to share her metre long sandwich with a young girl, the Swede gives an old woman a lift with her shopping, one of the blokes has a coffee with some oldtimers. It's derivative tedious claptrap of the highest order and still could win. The horror, the horror.

"No amount of Tinka-ing would ever make this decent"

Orinoco

"Orinoco made his living digging through rubbish to come up with something slightly usable...this always seemed a good comparison to the choosing a Swiss song for Eurovision", none of the six have ever uttered. "Of course, unlike The Wombles, the Swiss have often looked further away from their home for detritus, and at least we don't have to rely on garbage from Wimbledon Common...we get that from all across Europe!"

"The Wombles were also a truly marvellous example to set for young Swiss children. Orinoco understood the community benefits of picking up discarded flotsam in order to make the countryside an aesthetically pleasing place to be. Of course we neuter any Swiss child who drops rubbish in the first place, after all the punishment must fit the crime" the roly-poly Swiss one has never said..."He also had an uncle, called Bulgaria, but he wouldn't have been allowed in".

If We All Give A Little

Everybody has a dream
One will come and one will be
And hopes it soon will be reality

But a dream is not enough
There's so much we gotta do
To overcome the bitter blue

'Cause we all know one hand alone
Can never move a rock of stone
It takes us all, me and you

If we all give a little
If we all give a little
We can make this world a home for everyone
If we all give a little
We can dry a million tears
And some hope will grow out of many fears

Everybody has some strength
They could spend on someone weak
Don't let life be a game of hide-and-seek

Everyone has things to give
To someone just to carry on
And with our help, to overcome

We all have learnt a word alone
Can never touch a heart of stone
It takes much more, more of us

If we all give a little
If we all give a little
We can make this world a home for everyone
If we all give a little
We can dry a million tears
And some hope will grow out of many fears

If we give a little love
Just believe it's really worth
Many million hearts are beating on this earth

If we all give a little
If we all give a little
We can make this world a home for everyone
(For everyone)
If we all give a little
We can dry a million tears

And some hope will grow
(It will grow forever)
Out of many fears
(If we stand together)
If we give a little, just a little
(If we give a little love)
Give a little love

If we all give a little
(Just a little love)
All give a little (If we give a)
(A little) love

“After 26 years of working together, Bernd Meinunger and I have changed a lot,” said Ralph. “We’ve got older. But the landscape hasn’t really changed. The sound, the lights, the stage might have changed but human beings don’t really change and Eurovision still really turns my heart on.”
