"Her album 'If this is life, count me out' contained eight songs with Sibel's lyrics".

Music & Lyrics by: Sibel Tuzun

Born in Istanbul, Sibel Tüzün received her early music training in the childrens chorus of Radio Istanbul, part of TRT, the Turkish Broadcasting Corporation.

During her high-school years Sibel displayed a keen interest in pop and rock. In 1986 she came 3rd in an established and prestigious Music Competition, open to all secondary schools in Turkey.
In 1988 Sibel was accepted to Istanbul University State Conservatory as the primary choice to the Opera and Concert Section. Alongside her classical training Sibel continued in developing her interpretation of jazz and pop. In 1991 Sibel chose to pursue a professional career in music and her early years are underpinned by successes in several prominent competitions.
In 1992 Sibel signed a contract with RAKS Music Productions. Her first album "US GIRLS" enjoyed a large success, partly due to the collaboration of song writers like Sehrazat, Iskender Paydas, Ümit Kuzer and Ozan-Kenan Dogulu, but also due to her unique interpretation and endearing stage-presence. Three tracks of this album featured as top hits and with the impetus gained from this work Sibel toured extensively for a period of two years both in Turkey and outside.

1994 saw her in London with Robert Bricknell concentrating on further developing her voice. Following her stay in London she started work on her second album "In Love, Breathless" achieved similar success with several her songs entering top hits listings. After completing her 1997 Tour of Europe Sibel started her own production company.
Her album "If this is life, count me out" released in 1998 contained eight songs with Sibel's lyrics. This album also demonstrated Sibel's talents in production adding to her reputation as a performing artist. The video clip of the title track, directed by Charles Richards raised considerable interest in the French music channel MCM.
After the publication of the songbook of Kirmizi at the end of 2004, Sibel suspended her musical activities until September 2005 to devote her full attention to her baby daughter ELAYA.
Outside her musical carreer Sibel is a keen sailor and an accomplished co-driver, having assisted the renowned rally driver Ethem Genim for two racing seasons.

Turkey have sent yet another femme fatale who can take on allcomers at arm-wrestling, with the entrance of Sibel Tuzun. Sibel is no ordinary person, she's no imitation either. Oh no. She's a superstar. She has a rather fetching pink top hat, but there's about where the positives end. She's boldly going to sing in Turkish, well when I say sing, there is a good 20 seconds of her talking following by 40 seconds of instrumentation, which in tactical parlance is an arse-up. She is jammed between a few decenty songs in the semi-final and I confidently predict her booking out of the hotel on Friday afternoon.

Crystal Tipps

Mesmerisingly spaced out, Crystal Tipps was a badly disguised manifestation of the writers trips, and it was great. Bouffant-topped Crystal wandered around exchanging weird conversations with the lazy dog Alistair, all the while worrying about her sideways knees." I always thought she stood out from the crowd" Sibel has never said as she wouldn't dream of talking such rubbish, "and it was Ms Tipps who imbued a sense of being able to anything, even having awful tattoos done on my arms".

Superstar

I am no ordinary person
I ain't an imitation but the real diamond
My brilliance will dazzle you, watch out
Are you ready for love?

Tonight may be too long for you
It's may be too dark to see
And to feel to be true
I'm gonna light up your night forever
Are you ready for love?

I am your superstar
You feel me, baby
I'm your shining star
You reach me, baby
I know what you are
Just show me, baby
Are you ready, are you ready
Are you ready for love?

I am not an ordinary person
I am not an imitation
My light will bedazzle you
Are you ready for love?
Tonight may be too long for you
To see, to feel and to be true
I will light you tonight

Superstar

Ay hemen dogmuyorsa, olsun
Gece uzun karanlik, olursa olsun
Gozlerin kamasiyor, aldirma
Aska hazir misin

Birak durmadan aksin duygun
Gozlerini kapat, sus, yuregin vursun
Isigim aydinlatsin geceyi
Aska hazir misin

Karsinda Superstar
Sev beni
Karsinda Superstar
Hisset Beni
Karsinda Superstar
Yasa beni
Arzu benim, arzu benim, arzu benim sana

Ay hemen dogmayacak, olsun
Gece uzun karanlik, olsun
Gozlerin kamasacak, aldirma
Aska hazir misin
Birak durmadan aksin duygun
Gozlerini kapat, yuregin vursun
Isigim aydinlatsin

“‘Superstar’ is a love song, which says that everyone is a superstar to their partner,” she said. “I’m a superstar to my husband and he’s a superstar to me – and a superhero too.
