Severine Ferrer was born on October 31, 1977 in Montpellier. She spent her youth on the isle of La Reunion, where she quickly gained local celebrity status. In 1991, her family moved to Paris. There, she created her first group when she was only 8 years old. At the age of 10, she played the major singing role in a musical and was seen by Michel Drucker and several other French producers. Séverine finally took singing lessons and went for many castings. At that time Severine decided she wanted to be an artist. She starred in television series, and some minor roles in the movies. After a show on M6, Severine became well known to general public. Besides her acting, she also has published a autobiography, has released a solo album, and presents a line of clothing for pregnant women.

She finally got her chance when she was asked to present 'Fan de', a musical show on M6, one of the main French channels. Then she recorded the generic music of the famous TV series 'Lola, qui es tu Lola?', shot in Monaco. Séverine's voice fits the music perfectly. The CD single 'Lola' became a hit.

Moreover, 'Lola' was the perfect opportunity to meet composers and songwriters who decided to write several songs for her. Finally, her dream became reality and she released her first album 'Séverine Ferrer'. Two CD singles were released from this CD album. This CD made Séverine popular with the French audience. Following the success of the album, Séverine started touring France to meet her fans.

Severine is a young Gallic lady with a liking for Pacific rim culture. A small princiaplity has decided that Europe is ready to be subjected to a melange of both in three minutes of Monacocoan entertainment. How kind of them. Ms Ferrer is not without charms, but then again every year Monaco send the same type of charms. This is the equivalent of hard-trance to Monaco, and expect lots of hip revolving, grass skirts, and the odd bit of tongue. The video is watchable when put on silent, largely for the singers obvious charms. Severine may get in top fifteen, but it's unlikely, and anyway it's really not saying much is it.

“What do I love most about being involved in music?” asked Séverine. “The stage. But I also love writing songs and that feeling of affecting the emotions of the audience.”
